The Bureau of Census and other government agencies collect data to measure the economic activity and publish it on the web. The Economic Census is gathered every 5 years on years ending in 2 and 7, and annual and quarterly surveys update the Census with summary data. Start with the NAICS code site, the Economic Census, or go directly to a source below.
The Economic Census publishes data through American Fact Finder. This is the best way to search for Economic Census Data. To search the Economic Census and other business resources, you will need to determine the industry's classification number or NAICS code. To search the Economic Census, choose "Businesses" in the Guided Search of the American Factfinder:
Then select the topics that you are interested as "your selections."
