The Sojourner Truth Library has been a selective federal depository library since 1965. Federal government publications in print can be found in the library by searching the STL catalog.

Print government documents may be found on the ground floor of the library in compact shelving. Documents in microfiche format are also located on the ground floor. If you have difficulty locating these materials, please ask a librarian at the information desk for assistance.

Federal Digital System (Government Printing Office)
GPO’s Federal Digital System (FDsys) provides free online access to official publications from all three branches of the Federal Government. Through FDsys, you can search for documents and publications as well as browseby collection, Congressional committee, date, and Government author.

Library of Congress
Home Page of the library of Congress. Notably the American Memories section offers access to historical maps, movies, pictures and sound recordings that are viewable online.
United States Government Manual
Information on agencies of the legislative, judicial and executive branches. Also includes information on international organizations in which the United States participates, boards, commissions and committees. Also found in print from 1973/1974 to current in Compact Shelving JK421 .A3. Latest issue is behind the Reference Desk.

Created by the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) which is an agency of the Department of Commerce. This is a good site for accessing government sources on scientific, techincal, engineering and business-related information.
The American Presidency Project
Available from University of California-Santa Barbara, this website compiles and shares a vast number of digitalized Presidential documents.
Registry of U.S. Government Publication Digitization Projects
Features 180 government digitization projects on a variety of topics. While many a focused on specific topics, such as Texas Soil Surveys, many others serve a broader audience, such as the Congressional Record (1989-1994) or Private and Public Laws (1989-1994).
Congressional Research Service Reports
CRS is Congress’ think tank, and its reports are relied upon by academics, businesses, judges, policy advocates, students, librarians, journalists, and policymakers for accurate and timely analysis of important policy issues. The reports are not classified and do not contain individualized advice to any specific member of Congress.
