The Textbook Collection more than doubled this summer thanks to efforts by our library circulation staff and a generous donation made by the campus bookstore. This semester, there will be more than 165 course texts on reserve behind the Check Out Counter, a value of over $8,600. And the collection keeps growing!
Paying for college on a tight budget is challenging, and the hefty cost of textbooks is always a major concern. The Textbook Collection is a donation-based program which aims to provide students with free access to course texts.
If you have gently used textbooks, consider contributing them to the cause!
All you need to do is bring the books to the Check Out Counter and fill out a short informational form. We use this information to classify the books in our catalog so that students can easily search for and find them.
Whether it's unwanted textbooks or leisure books, donating to the library is an amazing way to contribute.
Unwanted books that are not course texts can be donated to the Friends of Library's (FOL) book sale. You can e-mail Bill at email@example.com for more information on how to donate to FOL.
All proceeds help fund the library's databases and acquisition fund.
