Searching ASHA's Website for Journal Articles

Searching the website for my diagnosis. I will run multiple searches combining different related keywords (e.g. feeding disorders would be another search I could try here.)

Screen shot of my search results on the ASHA website, getting ready to refine with menus on the left side.

This large number of results includes everything from journal articles to websites and items in the ASHA store. I’m going to refine my results to limit just to journal articles from the last five years by using the menu on the left.

Results list after I've refined my search. Results went from over 1,000 to 200, all of which are journal articles from the last five years.

After checking boxes to refine my search on the left menu bar, I now have fewer results, all of which are journal articles from the last five years.

I Found and Article, But Where is the Full Text?

Most ASHA journals are not available in full text on the open web but are available through the Library because we pay for a subscription.

You can find out whether we have a journal by going to the Library website, choosing the Databases Tab and then selecting "Search Periodicals by Title"

Exploring ASHA's Evidence Maps

By clicking on "Research" I can get to a page that links directly to ASHA's Evidence Maps.
