CMM500 Access to ebook texts

Click each book to get to the catalog record, then click the link under AVAILABILITY

I clicked the link on the books above and see the book record. Now What?

 

Look for the "Availability" area of the book record, and click the link into EBOOK CENTRAL

If you haven't already, enter your username and Password when prompted.  These are the same as you use for your campus mail and for Brightspace.  You'll then see the book information in Ebook Central.  

  • Click READ ONLINE to open up the book and read it. You must be connected to the Internet to read the book that way
  • Note that you can print (or print to pdf) or save a limited number of pages.  These differ from book to book
  • "Download" enables you to read the book offline, by saving it to Adobe Digital editions.  Downloads expire from your local device, usually after 21 days, and then the book will need to be downloaded again.  For most titles, there is no means of downloading an entire book permanently.

When you click READ ONLINE, the book will open up for online reading in a split-screen format

  • on the LEFT, you can navigate by chapter or search inside the book for a word or phrase. If you crate an account to use the BOOKSHELF features, the icons on the far left show you where you have placed bookmarks, sticky notes and highlights
  • on the RIGHT you can navigate through the book page-by-page
