To search the Library catalog, go to the catalog tab from the homepage. From there, you can search for a name as keyword, subject, or author (you may get different results, worth playing around with it!)
Once you have run a search, you can use the menus on the left side to limit to "Stacks" and "Oversize" books to look only at physical materials in our collection (this screens out ebooks and other digital or non-book resources in the catalog).
You may find useful books and exhibition catalogs on your mentor at other libraries, accessible through WorldCat. These can easily be requested - the borrowing library with mail them to New Paltz and then you can check them out. Thousands of libraries contribute to WorldCat so searching here can really broaden the materials you have access to.
Once you have run a search in WorldCat, you can narrow your results to physical books and then change the sort order so it will show you materials that are a "best match" to your keywords, as opposed to showing you what we have in our library first.
